Park Ridge Hospital to install multiple Kodak imaging and information systems
Park Ridge Hospital in western North Carolina has inked multi-million-dollar deal with Eastman Kodak to “transform” the hospital’s currently film-based radiology department to feature the latest digital image and information management technologies. The installation of the various Kodak systems is expected to be complete by year’s end, according to a release.

Under the agreement, Park Ridge will purchase a CARESTREAM PACS the company’s CARESTREAM Enterprise Information Management (EIM), which will enable centralized management of images and information — such as physicians’ reports and administrative documents — from radiology, cardiology and other clinical and business areas.

The agreement also will see Kodak consultants assisting in the redesign of Park Ridge’s radiology workflow via CARESTREAM’s capabilities.

Park Ridge Hospital is an affiliate of Unity Health System, a 681-bed health care network serving the city of Rochester and western Monroe County.
