Patient Comfort debuts MRI pads and positioning sets
Patient Comfort Systems of Hayward, Calif., has introduced MRI table pads and patient positioning sets developed for stereotactic breast biopsies.

Patient Comfort said the new sets address the need for enhanced comfort during these procedures because pads contain open cell foam with visco-elastic properties that provide advanced pressure management, preventing the generation of high pressure and shunt blood flow away from areas of the body, resulting in ischemic discomfort that often prompts patients to change position and require retakes.

In addition to minimizing exam retakes, the new pad sets also trim imaging costs by eliminating the need for gel and disposable patient pads, according to Patient Comfort.
