Orthopedic Associates of Meadville in Meadville, Penn., has ordered CR and DR solutions from Carestream Health as part of its conversion to a digital medical imaging environment.

Carestream said that the orders, which include a Kodak Directview DR 3500, Kodak Directview Classic CR system and Kodak Directview Long-Length Imaging System, were placed through Merry X-Ray, an authorized distributor.

The practice selected the floor-mounted DR 3500 system because of its motorized movements and that its arm maintains constant alignment between the x-ray tube and the bucky for rapid patient positioning, according to Philip Frndak, MD, president, Orthopedic Associates.

The compact, single-cassette CR system will be equipped with long-length imaging software to deliver 35 x 84 cm images for long-bone, spine and other applications, Carestream said.
