Philips Medical to ship four MRI systems to University of Michigan
Philips Medical Systems will supply four of its MR systems to the Department of Radiology at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

The purchase includes two high-field Philips Achieva 3.0-tesla (T) systems and two Philips Achieve 1.5T systems, both introduced at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting 2003. Philips says the equipment will be used for advanced clinical applications and research projects, with a focus on neurological, cardiovascular, body and pediatric (cardiovascular) applications.

Each system is equipped with Philips' Sense technology, for reduced scan times and increased image resolution and FreeWave technology with scalable 32-channel architecture.
