Philips releases DR detector-sharing functionality on some systems
Philips Healthcare has made wireless portable detector sharing functionality available on its static and mobile DR and DR/fluoroscopy equipment, allowing hospitals to use one detector on multiple DR modalities.

The feature is designed to improve flexibility, according to Philips. If a mobile x-ray unit is only used in the morning, for example, the detector can be used on a stationary x-ray system during the rest of the day. Wireless portable detector sharing functionality also allows for the use of another portable detector as a back-up, preserving uptime.

Philips wireless portable detector sharing is available for DigitalDiagnost DR rooms, EasyDiagnost Eleva DR/fluoroscopy rooms and MobileDiagnost wDR units.
