Philips shows work-in-progress MammoTrak at RSNA
A women’s imaging solution was among Philips Medical Systems' upcoming technology offerings introduced at the 93rd annual scientific assembly and annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America in Chicago last month.

The work-in-progress MammoTrak allows for breast imaging directly on the MRI table. The MammoTrak can be used for diagnostic or biopsy purposes. It includes two specialized breast imaging coils and analysis software. The company expects that it will go to market in 2008. It will be available as a technology upgrade to existing Philips customers.

The company also displayed its new 16-channel breast coil, as well as coils for torso and knee, and two work-in-progress 32-channel coils.
