Philips upgrades cardiac ultrasound
Royal Philips Electronics has released its upgraded cardiac ultrasound, the iE33 xMATRIX cardiac ultrasound system, which now offers a X5-1 transducer for adult echocardiograms, at the European Society of Cardiology Congress (ESC) this week in Stockholm.

The system now features 3D stress echo technology that can be integrated with conventional 2D stress echo and enables cardiac-related diagnostic capabilities related to ischemic disease detection, structural heart disease assessment, as well as systolic and diastolic heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia, stated Philips.
