Possis Q4 preliminaries above guidance
Interventional device developer Possis Medical reported that preliminary sales for its fiscal 2007 fourth quarter (end-July 31) are above previously stated guidance for the period.

For the fourth quarter, the Minneapolis-based Possis currently expects net sales of approximately $19 million, an 18 percent increase from fiscal 2006 fourth-quarter sales of $16 million. In its outlook issued on May 23 this year, the firm had estimated fourth-quarter net sales of $17 million to $18 million.

The company said that sales of its AngioJet Ultra Thrombectomy Console, a device that removes blood clots from coronary arteries, coronary bypass grafts, peripheral arteries and veins, A-V grafts and native fistulas, exceeded expectations for the quarter.
