Purkinje receives 2007 CCHIT certification
The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) said that Purkinje’s product, CareSeries EHR 2.0, is CCHIT certified, and meets its ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) criteria for 2007.
According to the St. Louis-based Purkinje, its CareSeries EHR 2.0 system has been tested and passed inspection of a set of updated criteria for functionality (the capability to create and manage electronic records for all patients, as well as automating workflow in a physician’s office); interoperability (the capability to receive and send electronic data to other entities such as pharmacies and laboratories); and security (the capability to keep patients’ information safe).
