RACC recognizes 38 new certified radiology administrators
The Radiology Administration Certification Commission (RACC) has reported that 38 medical imaging administrators who took the Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) examination during the month of November 2007 received a passing score and are now Certified Radiology Administrators.

Those candidates now may be recognized by the CRA credential after their names. Currently, there are approximately 600 CRAs nationwide.

The CRA credential is the industry’s first certification program for medical imaging administrators and is administrated by the RACC, which is sponsored by AHRA, the association for medical imaging management, according the Sudbury, Mass.-based RACC.

The test consisted of 185 questions, and approximately 30 percent of the questions were based on knowledge, 40 percent tested application skills (problem solving) and 30 percent involved analysis.
