Radiology patients obtain records after a year of waiting
More than 10,000 patients of a shuttered Brooklyn, N.Y.-based medical imaging center will finally receive their medical records, after more than a year of waiting, according to the state’s attorney general’s office.

Rubin Fleurantin, MD, who owned Bay Imaging, abruptly closed all three locations in August 2006, without any notice to his clients, leaving patients with no way to obtain the personal medical records maintained by the facility.

Fleurantin, who is in jail for contempt of court and whose medical license has been revoked, was forced to hire Capital/Nova Records Management to distribute medical information to former clients, according to the AG office.
