RCCB announces computer-based radiology coder testing
The Radiology Coding Certification Board (RCCB) is now offering the Radiology Certified Coder (RCC) exam in a computer-based format. The new format is administered through Comira Testing and is offered at 20 locations nationwide.

The computer-based exam will be administered three times in 2007, for a one-week period each time. Coders will need to submit an application for a specific exam period and test location. Once they have received confirmation from the RCCB that the application has been processed and accepted, an acknowledgement letter containing an identification number will be sent to the coder. The content of the exam is determined by the RCCB, including four areas:
  • international classification of diseases-9th edition;
  • current procedural terminology;
  • anatomy and terminology; and
  • ethics and compliance.
