Reader Survey: Health information network should be Kolodners top priority
Robert M. Kolodner, MD, was appointed interim National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. He will be called to confront issues on many fronts, but at the tops of his list, according to about 46 percent of respondents to last week’s readers poll, should be creating a national health information network. In order of importance (to readers at least), the rest of his to-do list includes promoting interoperability/standards (23.1 percent), encouraging increased health-IT funding (15.4 percent), and promoting passage of current health-IT legislation (15.4 percent).
