Readers survey: mixed display configuration PACS workstation of choice
Radiologist preferences are still evolving with the technology. A recent spot poll of readers conducted by Health Imaging News indicates that the PACS workstation monitor set-up of choice is a mixed monitor configuration — such as two 3MP grayscale with two 2MP color (39.5 percent). This is followed by going with all 3MP color displays, and no grayscales at all (23.7 percent). The same amount of respondents said they’d prefer to stick with completely separate color and grayscale workstations. The good news is that technologically speaking the medical display industry is getting to a point where it can offer nearly everyone the picture perfect option they desire.
