AFC Industries (Booth #3804), a manufacturer of ergonomic furniture for the medical environment, is debuting the Whitestone workstation at the 2009 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference.

The Whitestone includes electronic adjustment of work surface height from seated to standing position, work surface tilt within 15 degrees, and electronically adjustable monitor height and focal distance, according to the College Point, N.Y.-based company. New with the Whitestone are an environmental heating and cooling system, digital readouts for surface height and monitor focal distance, and adjustable LED backlighting with dimmer switch for radiologists requiring acoustical privacy partition, which is affixed to the workstation. Also standard on the Whitestone will be AFC’s new monitor arm that supports monitors weighing up to 50 pounds.
