RSNA: Canon touts wireless DR systems
Canon (Booth 208) is showing its wireless digital detector suite at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 28 to Dec. 3.

The CXDI-70C wireless flat panel detector is a cassette-size digital radiography system that eliminates the sensor cable to enable handling similar to current film-cassette X-ray systems, said the Lake Success, N.Y.-based company. The model’s 35 x 43cm effective imaging area offers the same dimensions as current film cassette models.

Canon has added to the RadPro positioner family with RadPro D2RS. The three-in-one imaging product incorporates the CXDI-50RF digital detector to provide digital remote-controlled fluoroscopy and radiography imaging capabilities for high-volume facilities. The CXDI-50RF can take up to 30 fps for fluoroscopy imaging and multi-frame radiographic imaging up to 15 fps, according to Canon. The sensor unit can be used in multiple rooms or multiple locations within the same room.
