RSNA has released official registration figures for its 2012 annual meeting, and reported total registration was 53,778—9 percent lower overall than in 2011.

RSNA attributed the largest attendee category decline to a newly instituted fee for guest badges. Professional registration was 26,154 and exhibitor registration numbered 21,288—on par with previous five-year trending. Radiologist attendance also was on par with 2011 at 16,045. International registrants numbered 9,346, making up nearly 36 percent of professionals.
