Rubbermaid gave attendees a look at two mobile workstations, one for computing, the other for medications, at the HIMSS07 show. The Mobile Computing Station is suited for charting/admission, clinical documentation, respiratory therapy and operative room use. The company’s Mobile Medication Stations offer security, storage capacity and adjustable ergonomics for tasks such as medication administration, floor inventory, and other tasks.

Both carts support any hardware on the market as part of an “open technology platform,” Rubbermaid said.

At the show, the company emphasized the results of a McKesson study that found that nurses can save 2 ½ hours of work time by using carts such as these.
