San Francisco jury finds Boston Scientific infringed Cordis patent
A jury in the U.S. San Francisco District Court on Wednesday found that Boston Scientific had infringed a balloon catheter technology patent of Cordis, a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary.

Boston Scientific of Natick, Mass., announced that it believes the decision is “in error” and will request that the judge overturn it.

According to a Boston Scientific release, “No damages were determined because the judge found that Cordis failed to submit evidence sufficient to enable a jury to make a damage assessment.”

The company added that the jury also found four Boston Scientific patents that were infringed by Cordis to be invalid.
