Sectra nets $40M RIS/PACs contract with Northern Ireland
The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety in Northern Ireland will implement Sectra’s RIS/PACS through a ten-year agreement, valued at £30 million ($42 million U.S.).
The solution will be used throughout the entire public healthcare system in Northern Ireland, according to the Linköping, Sweden-based company.
The company said that Northern Ireland has about 1.8 million inhabitants and nearly one million radiology examinations are carried out every year. The installation includes approximately 25 hospitals, organized in five Trusts.
