Siemens releases Acuson ultrasound update
Siemens Healthcare has begun shipping its newest Acuson SC2000 ultrasound system, seeking to shorten exam time and reduce user interaction.

The new system uses eSieScan technology to reduce the required number of user measurements and operations, Siemens said.

According to the Erlangen, Germany-based company, the new Acuson Ultrasound provides semi-automatic measurements for routine echo exams. The system's RapidStress volume stress echo application provides a volume stress solution for patients with arrhythmia, Siemens said.

For cardiac diagnostic imaging, Acuson SC2000 uses 64 parallel receive beams offering non-stitch, full-volume imaging to provide color-flow of the right and left ventricles.
