Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, Pa. announced the release of a new version of its syngo Colonography polyp enhanced viewing (PEV), an automated second reader tool for the visualization of lesions in the colon.

Siemens said the syngo Colonography PEV will help radiologists detect polyp-shaped objects between 6-mm and 25-mm in size and the application can now be used both in clean-prepped and solid-liquid tagged protocols. Together with features such as Auto Polyp Measurements, the company said the software improves reading accuracy as well as efficiency, in addition to enhancing workflow.
