Siemens sees gains in fiscal Q2 2006
For the second quarter of fiscal 2006 which ended March 31, 2006, Siemens Corp. reported net income of around $1.1 billion, up 14 percent compared to approximately $995 million in the same period a year earlier.
The company’s group profit from Operations in the second quarter was about $1.7 billion, up 8 percent from about $1.6 billion in the same period a year earlier. Most Groups within Operations increased their earnings year-over-year, with major earnings contributions from five different division including Medical Solutions (Med). The overall contribution of the groups came in approximately $227 million, approximately double the level in the prior-year period, Siemens said.
