Siemens showcases IT at TEPR 2005
Siemens Medical Solutions this week showcased its clinical workflow expertise and holistic strategy for the interoperable electronic health record (EHR) at the 2005 Towards an Electronic Patient Record (TEPR) Conference, May 16-18, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The company featured its EHR products which include Soarian, Soarian HIM, Soarian Community Access, and Soarian Cardiology, and others.

Siemens has made the national movement toward interoperable EHRs a priority by helping to facilitate the creation of a cumulative health record that will move with patients wherever they go. Siemens EHR strategy combines workflow management, diagnostic/therapeutic technologies, and healthcare IT systems and services.

Siemens also provided details regarding its strategic alliance with NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, which will focus on streamlining the patient experience from diagnostics through treatment, including the ability to retrieve and manage all clinical data and diagnostic images across acute and ambulatory settings, Siemens said.
