Siemens unveils new capabilities for clinical labs
Siemens Healthcare has introduced three clinical laboratory automation solutions that eliminate manual processes for producing diagnostic test results.
The company has added the capability for its Advia Centaur XP immunoassay system to connect to the VersaCell system, a compact automation system offering sample management and sorting capabilities. With the VersaCell system, customers with higher test volumes can access a broad menu of routine and specialty immunoassays by connecting the Advia Centaur XP immunoassay system to the Immulite immunoassay systems. Also, mid-to-high volume customers can now connect the Advia Centaur XP immunoassay system to the Advia 1800 chemistry system.
Siemens announced it is also debuting the Advia Decapper for the LabCell and WorkCell automation systems, which automates removal of test tube caps. Additionally, Siemens has received FDA clearance to connect between the Advia Centaur XP immunoassay system and the StreamLAB Analytical Workcell.
