Hand-carried ultrasound provider SonoSite has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Zonare Medical Systems in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Southern Division. SonoSite claims in its complaint that Zonare has infringed its Patent No. 5,722,412 through its sales of its z.one ultrasound platform.
 
The complaint seeks unspecified monetary damages and a court injunction against future infringement by Zonare.
