Veterinary digital radiography developer Sound Technologies has launched its TruDR nx direct radiography (DR) system. The San Diego-based company is a division of VCA Antech, a free-standing veterinary hospital and clinical laboratory operator.

The TruDR nx features an open link architecture to increase imaging speed and repeatability; auto-calibration; auto-cropping; automatic look-up tables (LUTs); and Sound Vu2, a noise-removal technology.

The firm said it has teamed up with Dell to provide a customized original equipment manufacturer (OEM) acquisition platform for the device. In addition, the company said it can offer customers on-site technical support and assistance under a four-hour window through its partnership with Dell’s OEM industry group.
