SourceOne inks one, ends two distribution pacts
Radiology supplier distributor SourceOne Health Technologies terminated two distribution agreements and gained one contract over the last week.

Effective Oct. 1, SourceOne no longer will be the distributor for Swissray International Inc. SourceOne's proclamation comes one week after Swissray announced an end to the companies' two-year agreement. Swissray has since created its own direct sales, applications and service teams in the United States.

SourceOne in its announcement added that it will honor all existing Swissray warranties and service contracts, either directly through SourceOne or Swissray. SourceOne has distributed Swissray's direct digital Radiography (ddR) product line since 2001.

In addition, computer-aided detection (CAD) technology firm R2 Technology Inc. has terminated its distribution agreement with SourceOne. The agreement did include service support for R2's CAD ImageChecker CAD systems customers. While effective October 2, both companies will honor all current service agreements.

"We are working closely with SourceOne during this transition to ensure that all R2 CAD users continue to receive the highest quality service available," said Michael Klein, president and CEO of R2 Technology.

SourceOne did add CADx Systems Inc. to its client roster. SourceOnce will distribute CADx's Second Look analog CAD system for mammography in the United States.

The mammography system utilizes software technology to highlight potential areas of concern and indicate the presence of breast cancer. The device improves mammography reviews by providing specific information to help radiologists detect breast cancer in its early stages.
