Spain and California hospitals award pacts to Kodak
Hospital MAZ, in Zaragoza, Spain, will install three Kodak DirectView CR (computed radiography) 850 systems, a Kodak DirectView PACS System 5, and a Kodak DirectView Versatile Intelligent Patient Archive (VIParchive) storage management software platform.

Hospital MAZ has three main areas of focus - trauma medicine, treating workplace-related injuries and treating diseases caused by the working environment. The hospital has approximately 200 beds and performs more than 65,000 diagnostic imaging procedures each year.

Kodak also will upgrade the medical imaging capabilities of Lodi (Calif.) Memorial Hospital.

The 173-bed non-profit hospital purchased a Kodak DirectView PACS 5 (picture archiving and communications system) with Web distribution capability, four DirectView computed radiography (CR) systems and one Kodak DryView laser imaging system.

Kodak Healthcare Project Management, RIS Integration and Network Services - all part of Kodak's Professional Services portfolio - were also part of Lodi's order.
