Stryker debuts wireless HD surgical display
Stryker Endoscopy, a division of Stryker, has launched a high-definition (HD) wireless video display for the operating room, the WiSe HDTV.

The new display is embedded with wireless HD technology from Amimon, a fabless semiconductor company, headquartered in Herzliya, Israel, that develops wireless uncompressed HD video for universal connectivity among CE video devices.

William Chang, Stryker Endoscopy's vice president of research and development and chief technology officer, said that Amimon’s HD wireless technology is capable of transmitting surgical video with no perceptible lag or interference throughout the entire operating room. “This will allow surgeons greater flexibility in positioning the surgical display while operating. In addition, hospitals and surgery centers will save the hassle and cost of routing DVI cables through the ceilings and overhead booms,” he said.
