Survey: most not interested in home ultrasound unit
Asked if they would follow Tom Cruise’s lead and purchase an ultrasound system for home use if they had the financial resources, most readers (72 percent) would not invest the money.
California lawmakers have recently made moves to ban the sale of ultrasound systems for home use. So, if the rest of the nation takes the state’s lead it might be a non-issue. Still, with 28 percent of respondents stating they would buy one (if they could afford it) there does seem to be at least some interest in ultrasound as a home diagnostic tool.
