TEPR symposium to evaluate hospital health IT
The Medical Records Institute has announced that its TEPR 2006 (Towards the Electronic Patient Record) annual convention will include a special “C-Level Symposium” which will gather hospital executives from around the globe to discuss important health IT issues. The symposium will include debate over implementation issues and strategies, interoperability challenges, and look at future growth trends. The convention will take place May 20-24 at the Baltimore Convention Center.
          
Other events during the symposium will include lectures, town hall discussions, and a demonstration of RFID wireless tracking devices. A number of education sessions will also be offered, including: Building Blocks for a Successful EHR; Phased Implementation; Debate: Do EHR Systems Lower Healthcare Costs?; Patient Flow & Asset Tracking; Charge Capture; Disaster Preparedness; Continuity of Care Record; RFID & AIT; and Managing Cultural & Workflow Challenges.
