TeraMedica solves interoperability challenges in the visible light arena
TeraMedica at RSNA 2006 launched its new Evercore VisLite Information Manager that is designed to solving interoperability challenges in the Visible Light (VL) arena. Vislite integrates and manages ophthalmology, surgery, endoscopy, pathology, microcopy and many other areas.

Evercore VisLite Information Manager integrates and manages all VL modalities into a single cohesive infrastructure, the company said. The application then serves the VL dataset to the resident enterprise electronic medical record (EMR), or to the greater enterprise RHIO/electronic health record (EHR). The integrated clinical focus includes connectivity of VL data sets with traditional medical images and MPEG2, JPEG, BMP files, in a patient centric context. The aggregated device information is gathered seamlessly from systems such as the fyreLINK VLTM Image Capture system, TeraMedica said.

Evercore VisLite Information Manager also uses open standards in managing and storing digital information and makes the VL data available at the point of patient care across the healthcare enterprise in multiple formats and at multiple service levels.
