TomoTherapy to introduce StatRT
Radiation therapy device manufacturer TomoTherapy announced that it will introduce StatRT, a new software package for the Madison, Wis.-based company’s Hi·Art treatment system, at the annual American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) meeting in Minneapolis next week. TomoTherapy said that the StatRT application is designed to enhance the quality of care for time-critical cancer cases.

With the StatRT package, users can rapidly initiate a fractionated image-guided, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IG/IMRT) treatment plan, or provide emergency palliation, from the Hi·Art treatment system’s workstation, according to TomoTherapy.
