Radiation therapy device manufacturer TomoTherapy disclosed that it has sold six of its Hi·Art treatment systems to 21st Century Oncology, a Fort Myers, Fla.-based free-standing oncology treatment center operator. The Madison, Wis.-based TomoTherapy said that the units are scheduled for future installation in Florida and California, with possible other locations to be determined.

The Hi·Art treatment system combines integrated CT imaging with conformal radiation therapy to deliver radiation treatments while reducing radiation exposure to surrounding healthy tissue, according to TomoTherapy.
