Toshiba America Medical Systems (Booth 3429) is unveiling a panoply of products for the women’s imaging market, including a works-in-progress breast MRI imaging product and new ultrasound technology.
Toshiba is introducing its Radiance Plus Breast Imaging Suite, as a works-in-progress, available on the Vantage Atlas and Vantage Titan MR systems. The new multi-channel Radiance Plus Breast Imaging Coil optimizes MR mammography on the Vantage systems and increases access for breast biopsy.
The bilateral, dedicated, multi-element Radiance Plus Breast Imaging Coil provides high temporal and spatial resolution for dynamic analysis and lesion characterization. The coil delivers a high signal-to-noise ratio, significantly increasing the breast image quality. In addition, the Vantage Atlas and Titan systems have the capability to perform breast exams feet first, reducing patient discomfort and claustrophobia.
Toshiba is rolling out women’s imaging ultrasound techniques, including breast imaging techniques that enable physicians to better evaluate breast lesions and Spatio-Temporal Image Correlation (STIC) technology to assess the fetal heart.
The developer also is demonstrating its proprietary MicroPure ultrasound technology, to help identify and eventually characterize breast tissue micro-calcifications. MicroPure is a promising new technique the company believes may increase the quality of care.
