Toshiba America Medical Systems has entered into a strategic business agreement with PinnacleHealth, a non-profit hospital and healthcare system in central Pennsylvania.

For the next five years, 85 percent of PinnacleHealth's newly acquired medical imaging systems will come from Toshiba's full product portfolio including CT, interventional labs, x-ray, ultrasound and MRI, according to the Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba.

The first phase of purchases for PinnacleHealth include $14.5 million in Toshiba medical imaging equipment, including five MR systems, 11 ultrasound systems, eight x-ray systems and five CT systems, including the Aquilion One, a dynamic volume CT system with 320 detector rows of coverage.
