Toshiba America Medical Systems demonstrated two x-ray systems featuring DR technology at RSNA 2006 last week. The T.Rad-PLUS Digital and Kalare systems both use a removable DR panel and allow clinicians the flexibility to obtain images from virtually any position without moving the patient. Designed for maximum flexibility, the ceiling-mounted T.Rad system with portable DR panel is built with independently moving components, and features a 700-pound table weight capacity and color touch-screen control panel for tableside operation. The Kalare R &F system is designed to meet the needs of busy facilities and improves the utility of one room. Kalare’s features include the latest EPS-Plus Digital Imaging System – an all-digital processing system designed to shorten exam times and reduce the costs of film, handling and storage associated with conventional R &F fluoroscopic procedures.
