Ultrasonix Medical, a developer and manufacturer of high quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging systems, has restructured its North American operations to focus on its target markets.
Laurent Pelissier, chief technology officer and founder of Ultrasonix, said that the restructuring will strengthen the organization, refocus the company on its core markets and improve efficiency.
Following the restructuring, Ultrasonix also announced changes to its management team.
Joe Bjorklund was promoted to vice president of sales, North America. Bjorklund was previously business manager of emerging markets, according to Ultrasonix.
Graham Coulter was promoted to vice president of customer service and sales operations. Coulter was previously director of customer service for the company, said Ultrasonix. He has almost 30 years experience in various senior roles in operations and logistics management, the Richmond, British Columbia-based company said.
Pelissier said that North American sales will continue to be a mix of direct and indirect sales models, with the company retaining direct representation in key geographic areas and with a renewed focus on emerging markets that more closely aligned with the company’s product strategy.
“These initiatives, we believe will enhance our capability to continue to deliver innovative products and position the company for long term success, improve profitability and deliver outstanding value to our customers,” Pelissier said.
