The Vocera Communications System enables mobile healthcare providers within buildings or campuses to instantly connect with one another using simple voice commands. The systems uses wireless LAN (Wi-Fi), Voice over IP (VoIP) and speech recognition to communicate anywhere within a 802.11b-networked facility.

The Vocera Communications Badge weighs less than two ounces and can be clipped to a shirt pocket or collar or worn on a lanyard, enabling hands-free voice communication.
