West Texas medical center installs Toshiba x-ray for cardiac cath
Shannon Medical Center, in San Angelo, Texas, has installed Toshiba America Medical Systems’ IntinixTM CF-i single plane vascular x-ray system to conduct radial artery interventions.

Performing cardiac catheterizations through the radial artery lowers the risk of vascular complications compared to femoral access, and Shannon Medical Center will be able to use the Infinix-I system for radial interventions in more than 65 percent of its cases, Toshiba said.

Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba America Medical Systems said it designed the Infinix CF-i to obtain images without repositioning patients, making radial interventions more accessible.
