Agfa HealthCare’s ORBIS clinical information system has received SAP interface certification.

According to Agfa, the certification of the interface between ORBIS and SAP Controlling (CO), SAP Material Management (MM) and SAP Financial (FI) was carried out by an SAP team after a functionality audit.

The certification, based on the SAP versions SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.7 and mySAP ERP 2005 (ECC 6.0) and ORBIS Release 8.4, accredits the following interfaces:

• ORBIS-SAP CO: a module which provides supporting information to management for the purpose of planning, reporting, as well as monitoring the operations of their business,
• ORBIS-SAP MM: a module designed to cover the functionality required to purchase goods and services, manage inventory, and inspect incoming materials,
• ORBIS-SAP FI: a module designed to meet all the accounting and financial needs of an organization.

These interfaces are used to transfer data between ORBIS and SAP, enabling the user to exchange master data and dynamic data between both software systems on a defined basis.
