Allscripts has integrated its ePrescribe electronic prescription software with Google Health.

The company said that physicians using the software now can enable patients to import their medication history, allergies and medical conditions into their Google Health personal health records (PHRs).

The ePrescribe software is available for use at no charge on a secure website via the industry-sponsored National ePrescribing Patient Safety Initiative. The service has 15,000 users, including 11,000 licensed prescribers and about 4,000 nurses who use it for authenticating refills, according to the Chicago-based Allscripts.
