Computer Science Corporation (CSC) and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) have announced that Cerner will provide AORN SYNTEGRITY Standardized Perioperative Framework with a surgery and anesthesia management clinical information system.

Developed by the Falls Church-Va.-based CSC and Denver-based AORN, SYNTEGRITY captures patient data for perioperative care in hospitals, outpatient facilities and ambulatory surgery centers including pre-admission, preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative data, Cerner stated.

AORN SYNTEGRITY incorporates AORN’s standardized nursing vocabulary, the Perioperative Nursing Data Set, and aligns with clinical standards, accreditation specifications and regulatory requirements to promote compliance and patient care, Cerner said.

More information will be available at the annual AORN Congress taking place March 13-18 in Denver, according to the Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner.
