Having a system for the communication of critical radiology exam results is, well, critical. The well-being of a patient often hangs in the balance, and the Joint Commission has prioritized the safe communication of critical test results in recent patient safety goals.
This push to speed the communication of results has spurred the creation of numerous automated critical results reporting systems. Some are offered by prominent health IT vendors, other hospitals use custom built, in-house solutions, but they all have one goal: fast, accurate reporting of diagnostic results.
Health Imaging wants to know how your organization tackles this issue. Please take five minutes to complete our critical results reporting survey, and be on the lookout for the survey results in the September/October issue of Health Imaging.
