MaxMD, eCast enter EMR software development deal
Health IT developer MaxMD and EMR software developer eCast have entered into a non-exclusive partnership to develop EMR technology.

Peter Bechtel, president and CEO of the Raleigh, N.C.-based eCast, said its EMR software will incorporate MaxMD's mdEmail and other MaxMD elements.

By providing an encrypted communications system, the application eliminates the use of portals and intermediary sites, according to Fort Lee, N.J.-based MaxMD.

The companies said that mdEmail has already been integrated into two products, eCast EMR and eCast Dr2Dr.
