Quest to sell Matrox line for its medical LCD monitors
Quest International will begin shipping Matrox Graphics’ Xenia Series display controller boards with medical LCD displays from AlphaView LCD, NEC and Totoku.

The Montreal-based Matrox said its Xenia is a PCI Express single-slot board with digital, triple-monitor output. The Xenia Series supports resolutions from less than 1MP to 8MP with up to 1GB of on-board memory, and features new technology to ensure display calibration (via Matrox DLC and 8/10/13-bit gamma LUTs).

Herb Berkwits, medical display project manager for Irvine, Calif.-based Quest said that the “capabilities of the Xenia Series bring additional configuration options to medical display users. The ability to have digital, diagnostic displays in a tri-head configuration, utilizing a single controller, allows radiology professionals more flexibility with review station design/configuration.”
