Agfa HealthCare (Booth #8324) is presenting a series of solutions for both computed radiography (CR) and direct radiography (DR), as well as for imaging informatics and mammography at the 2009 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference.
The company will be introducing its DX-D 500n DR system and the DX-D 300 DR system (as works in progress). In combination with its CR systems, the DX-D 500n and DX-D 300 systems have been tailored to match general radiology exams. The DX-D solutions enable working procedures through the combined capabilities of the NX user station and MUSICA2 image processing, as well as a unified look and feel for both DR and CR exams. It also will display the company's ceiling/wall mounted DX-D 500n and the DX-D 300 flexible single detector U-arm system.
Another highlight at RSNA 2009 will be the launch of a next-generation CR system, the DX-G, for general radiography, which supports general radiology, extremities, neonatal and pediatric applications with the handling of both standard phosphor imaging plates and needle-based detectors. It is housed in a single compact system, according to the company.
At RSNA 2009, Agfa also will show its digital CR system for the smaller facilities, the CR 30-X system and the SE image management suite. Also scheduled to be showcased are solutions for pediatrics and neonatal exams and for digital mammography (the latter of which is not available for sale in the U.S.). The solutions are offered with Drystar hardcopy imager systems based on the direct digital imaging technology of Agfa enhanced with its A#Sharp technology.
Impax Data Center, which will be on display at RSNA 2009, creates a longitudinal image enabled EMR or regional EHR, bringing imaging into a unified, centrally managed system, according to the company. Agfa said its Impax Data Center provides multimedia storage for all types of standards-based DICOM 3.0 medical images and diagnostic results for hospital groups, regional healthcare organizations and national medical archives. The solution consolidates imaging data from disparate systems into a single point of storage and distribution via the EHR.
