RSNA: Iron Mountain, NetApp partner to provide cloud-based archive
Iron Mountain and NetApp have teamed up to provide cloud data storage that can serve as an archive for medical data and provide disaster recovery services. The two companies shared a booth and showcased their partnership at the 97th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, Nov. 27 to Dec. 2.
Under the partnership, the two companies will integrate NetApp’s StorageGRID object storage software with two Iron Mountain medical data archiving tools: the Digital Record Center for Medical Images and its vendor neutral archive.
The companies said the service will be offered on a “pay-as-you-go” model and will help organizations meet current HIPAA compliance standards that require a disaster recovery plan and policies for protecting data.
