Utah Gov. Gary Herbert recently signed legislation that requires facilities performing mammograms to notify women if they have dense breast tissue. The signature makes Utah the 32nd state to enact such a law.
Utah joins a majority of states that have such reporting laws in place, with Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and Florida Gov. Rick also signing such bills.

Wisconsin is considering its own breast density reporting bill that is expected to become law soon.
